I see the work of CEMB as increasingly important as we progressives have to fight bigotry & fascism on numerous fronts. I believe CEMB to be articulating a kind of progressive politics alongside Humanists UK which is refreshingly forthright & principled, something lacking within many other progressive groups & on the left more broadly who have been caught up in defending faith groups unconditionally & surrending the narrative on Muslims to the far right.
