An Iraqi man (Salwan Momika)who burned a Quran in Sweden is set to be deported. The incident took place in Malmo, where the man filmed himself burning the Quran and posted the video online. This act enraged radical Muslims and led to protests and acts of violence in the area. Furthermore, Salwan Momika has been repeatedly threatened with death by Islamist residents of Sweden. The man was subsequently arrested and charged with blasphemy, prompting the authorities to review his residency status.
