My name is Tabraiz Burki. I have been seeking asylum in this country for 13 years. I am an atheist. I do not believe in any god and have rejected the faith in Islam that I inherited by birth. Speaking openly about my apostasy and humainism in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is not an option; it would put my life in danger. But neither is it an option to hide who I am.
