Tunisian activist Nacer Amari must be granted protection
Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain (CEMB) strongly condemns the decision of the Danish Government to deny Tunisian activist Nacer Amari’s claim to asylum. Mr. Amari is a free-thinker who is co-Founder of Prometheus Europe, an organisation devoted to defending those on death-row within the MENA region for criticising Islam.
Mr. Amari left Tunisia in 2012 after receiving death threats from Islamists for his activism. Clearly, Mr. Amari’s life will be put into grave danger should he be forced to return to Tunisia.
The CEMB strongly urges the Danish Government to reconsider their decision and to provide Mr.Amari protection.
